Throw in the request for the broker to be and Agency-only (A.K.A STP) model and the results are even less. There is an abundance of Market Makers everywhere.

This means it's one of two things: 1. You're not good enough at it, yet2. You don't have enough starting equity to trade with big enough lots in order to make enough profits.

Exactly! Risk management applies the same way to stocks trading (no leverage) and CFD trading (with leverage) regardless. It's all up to the trader to handle the risk.

Before starting to test and develop strategies make sure to find a broker where the demo account has the same trading conditions as live. Meaning the charts and price movements are the same. Also, when you open the demo - ask the broker to set the leverage and starting account balance (equity) to be the same as the one you will be using on live.

Very good service overall. I like the reports for the trades they provide and the webiars for the traders. Execution is fast and I sometimes have positive slippage. Not sure why they still offer only forex and CFD but not some instruments traded on real exchanges. Hopefully JFD will offer Czech or other central European shares soon.

I started with EURUSD but also now I am into silver. Tried the DAX as well. I guess for newbees it is still better to focus on a single instrument first.

I think what you say is right. Maybe the whole story behind having expiration dates is to use urgency that can make you take emotional decisions which leads usually to losses. Stress is a good thing in trading but not if it goes over certain level.

I also agree that demo is a useful tool for newbee traders especially to see how it works and for advanced traders to test a strategy before going live. I like the concept of testing first.
