I got this email today from softlayer:
At the request of Rajat Khanna, the services provided to UCVHost were terminated effective October 16th, 2013. Pursuant to SoftLayer policy, the data on those servers was automatically deleted shortly thereafter and is no longer available. I, too, had major problems with them, and I think I wrote about it around a year ago in this forum. I quit using them as the VPS would randomly shut down, and it happened several times. They were cheap but if the server randomly shut down then I may as well use my own pc, so I went with a more expensive VPS service (although I dont pay as its a broker perk) and haven't looked back

Regardless of what UCVHost says above, the fact IS their server(s) & website were down for many days.
I have yet to receive any communication from UCVHost explaining what happened or telling me about the Softlayer takeover.
Customer Service implies taking care of customers.
To not inform customers of the outage / takeover details speaks volumes about their level of, & commitment to, customer service.

Dear All,
I have gone to UCVHOST website and called the number that was on the front page. The number directs to softlayer which UCVHost was a reseller of their servers. From what I have understood, softayer has received numerous calls from disgruntled customers and they apologized and that they cannot do anything about the clients lost data. And UCVhost is not affiliated to them in anyway except being a reseller.
Softlayer is also going to take legal action against the company for making a run and diverting the attention.
I am very shocked and flabbergasted by the current string of events. This is an example of a company that seriously should have never existed.
May its directors and staff be sued till their pondi cherry village burns down.
I have also learnt a valuable lesson that I should be paying on a monthly basis to my next forex vps host.

This people just closed shop and took off without notice. I lost all my data accounting, charts and more. Didn't even have the decency to tell us to back up. What a disgrace for India. That's what we get for doing business overseas. Bad YUYU for this MFs.

You should contact your bank or cc company. Sometimes they offer some kind of customer protection against bankruptcy. That should be in the small print.

I got notification from WorldPay (UCVhost's payment provider that the automatic monthly payment is failed which is good for me. I have the same service like you have paying on advance. I tried to contact WorldPay by email, there was no reply. Is it better to contact my bank? thanks,

There is a good chance that this VPS provider has gone bust. Their website has been down almost a week now, without any notice to customers. They claim to have about 80k customers worldwide. If you have recently paid them any money for renewing your subscription with them, you'd better cancel that through your cc company. I am looking for a new provider. I payed in advance for my subscription and I consider the money as lost.

I'm from Thailand. I've been using ucvhost's VPS service for several months.
My VPS has not worked for a week seriously, this is unacceptable for VPS right?
During this problem, I tried to contact the company as many times as I could.
- The ticket system "The only way they have to let us contact".
I messaged a complaint about my vps was down. No response from them at all.
The only time I got the message was when they reply to me "Sir, your VPS is working fine. Please check"
Well, you guys know what they never talked about their responsibility during the time my ps was down at all.
No technical support is available, all it says was "your VPS is working fine". And the kind of replies was given me at least 12 hours I messaged. OR NEVER RESPONSE as I'm facing now.
- Sending them back email "[email protected]" - NEVER have any response.
- Directly have international calls: as you guys may see their address and phone number on thier website.
I thought using messages made no sense for me (because no explanation was given to me).
I made several calls to India (as they said on the website as technical support is provided).
Let's see what I got. I heard the voice like when you make a call and the destination is on the phone. (Sorry not knowing a word to explain).
After that, I tried calling to their office in the USA - no any voice I heard. Lol ( I can't believe what happened to me)
I had not given in yet, I googled to find other possible phone number they have. I found the other one in Singapore.
I called in the morning hearing a voice responded to me. I thought I would get some help.
You know what I talked to a Singaporean guy whether this was UCVHOST's office. He said "No, No, No, No, NO".
Omg, I can't imagine what the heck this company is. Is it really available? No any phone number is contactable?
What about my VPS, any responsibility?
Now, I still can't connect to my VPS even their website is not working.

I have used them for one year,
chat service was helpful, and i could only get things done through them.
if email system is used, i do not get replies, and problem is never resolved.
I got many restarts of the system in weekdays, hence, I've decided to stop renewing my subscription

I have read all of the comments here and based on my experience so far, I am pleased with the service I purchased.
I work in the IT Field and have a full understanding of VPS providers. Depending on the package to buy, you get the VPS configured with what the package said it would have. Now if you select the cheapest and you complain about how slow the performance is, take a look at the configuration. If the memory is 1GB for a Windows 2008 Server platform then you might want to increase the memory to improve the server's performance.
I purchased the Forex VPS package and it is performing well. It is not working like the power servers I have set up at work but then again, I do not need to have that much power to trade with my MT4 Platform.
Support via Chat has been solid. They have helped with the few issues I had when starting it up.
I am happy with the service they have provided thus far.

This company is a SCAM COMPANY... the services go down every day, if u request money back.. they ignore all your tickets, enter in helpdesk.ucvhost.com this is the unique support method and dont work..

They are very sly. The price you see is not the price you pay. In reality, when you try to go and place an order, you see that the actual price you pay is different. Turns out that you are actually just paying for a whole bunch of service charges. They are one of the more expensive VPS services and their support isn't the greatest. In fact, there are many services that are much better. Just go over to Iwishost. I have been using them for a few months now and their technical support is amazing. After finding out that there are more charges in placing an order, I just left them all together. It takes them a really long time for them to respond the my questions.
Also, just a heads up, if you see comments of UCVSupport Staff commenting here and denying the negative claims made against them, I would just like you to think for a minute because if a VPS service is offering excellent customer support, excellent communications, and excellent products with honest pricing techniques, there shouldn't be any negative reviews and the support staffs don't need to defend their own company by arguing and denying claims on review sites such as this one. Since they are doing so, it just shows that they are insecure and taking the easy way out rather than taking these negative criticisms as suggestions on how they can improve.

Terrible service for forex brokers like us, they delete all my files and forex platforms over the weekend, and since them they refuse to give my money back over their 30Day Money Back guarantee total scam. STAY AWAY, when I asked about the refund the online support that takes at least 10 minutes for every question u make, answer back that my server is running ok ( yes it s ok without all my files and programs ) and don't answer about the refund wich was my initial question. DONT BE FOOLED by them, keep your money away from this terrible service.
