No they wont compensate you for trade losses. The company is in administration because it's ran out of money, there is no money there to compensate people.
All there is are the segregated client funds which will be pooled together and split between non-professional clients that have a claim to it.
I have a friend who works at another brokerage company and he says people will be lucky to see their money within 3 months but don't be surprised if it takes up to a year.

Dear Trader 999,
Well, I do not want to take the losses - cause its not fault in any way. the way I trade, 90% of the time is trade without SL's and trade on weekly charts only blah blah blah on huge support and resistance levels etc.................Is there way they can just put me back in those trades ? My other broker is FXPro where I never took one loss in three years. All on Long Term Trading (weekly charts) some of my trades is more than 6 months in. why will i take losses with Alpari cause they got broke and not me............... ?
Its funny - they say that its a risky bussiness to trade and its emotional - BS - but I think its more risky choosing a broker - hahahahahaha :)

I like how u say things like Alpari Ru is crap,it deserves to die.Instaforex is crap etc...Look,if u are bad at trading and loosing all the time-any broker will be evil for you:)Blame yourself for been bad and not the broker.
Alpari Ru is a decent broker with a good service.

Hey @TrustInMe , I stand by my statements. Maybe if you have dealt with those brokers you would understand but since you haven't you can't talk. There are good brokers out there but takes a while to find. Alpari IS NOT one of them.

Johan , one of the many bitter lessons I have learned from trading fx is that the balance is not as important as we sometimes think , its just a number that creates us an illusion disturbing our focus on real-time equity that is the only one to be care of .
That's just my personal opinion.

You don't need to know if broker has entered insolvency, bankruptcy or if its regulated or clients fund is segregated and shit like that.... you just need to know if your getting your withdrawal within 24 hours or not, if yes.. broker is working if not... broker has scammed.

Johan,
I am like yourself, had trades that had just activated from my pending trades which due to being closed became losers.
Would not the same situation arise on a margin call and the broker close trades in order to preserve their position on that trade ?
I have a good healthy account that was with Alpari but do not expect the full amount returned and neither can I expect those just opened losing trades to become winners.
The Alpari segregated pot will only have so much money in it to pay out to those Alpari traders who had apositive balance.
This is an insolvency where in this the real world the only winners will be the insolvency company, in this KPMG.
I like many others have dusted myself down and started from a small acorn with another broker.
Its just like a bad losing trade and if you let it then you might not return to the FX traders fold.
I am sure Dr Pipslow of Babypips would echo the sentiment.

Well,
I do not know it works with brokers becoming insolvent etc..........it just looks to me like a huge scam !!!! They have no insurances for something like this happening ? So, I have customers money in my bank account - blow it all and then say to my customers sorry ? Wow, how can this be true ? So this can happen to all the brokers out there ??? So how can you make money trading with thieving brokers ?

I agree with Johan...it´s easy for brokers just to declare itself insolvent and give a BIG sorry for the customers.
How can we trust in a broker ? There´s no option. It seems that the forex market is a big sea with a lot of pirates trying to take your gold, and the only choice for us, traders, is to split our gold into several places. So, one pirate can steal your gold, but you can maybe recover it by using another "pirate".
It´s really sad !
