On every copy trading, signals and systems performance display forum, you see large gains i.e thousands of percent. Is it real? Or even possible?

Very real. I started trading my bot with live money this week and I’ve already made 30%. Imagine I was having a huge capital

I created it myself and it’s working very fine. You could see the attachment that contains backtested results.

I could sell it to you and show you how to make consistent gains. It’s nothing hard.

You can get those kinds of returns, but usually only under very specific conditions and not for long. Most of the time it’s small accounts using extreme risk, martingale-style sizing, or lucky streaks that look amazing until they don’t. Survivorship bias plays a big role too, since you mostly see the few that worked and not the many that blew up.Sustaining thousands of percent with controlled risk over a long period is extremely rare. In real trading, slow and consistent growth with manageable drawdowns is far more realistic than eye-catching curves.

I’ve followed a few of these systems out of curiosity. Most show impressive gains early, but the downside risk is massive. One bad market phase can erase months of profits. That’s why I don’t judge systems by peak returns, only by drawdown and longevity.

It's important to understand the principles of the trader or EA. Market conditions may change, the snapshot only indicates the past, but understanding the philosophy and principles of the EA, the you know how it manages future risk. Risk management matters in the long term

Even if it’s real, it’s not something I would personally follow. Returns in the thousands of percent usually come with extremely high risk, and that kind of exposure can just as easily lead to large losses and deep drawdowns when conditions change. For me, that’s a pass.

Big gains attract attention, which is why they are displayed prominently. But many of those systems do not survive over time. Look at risk metrics, drawdown, and track record length instead of just percentage return. I think stable growth over years is far more realistic than extreme short term results.

It's important to be cautious when you see claims of huge gains, like thousands of percent. While it's technically possible to achieve high returns, they are often unrealistic and may come with significant risks. Many of these high-percentage results are either exaggerated or come from very risky strategies that can lead to massive losses. It's always wise to do your research, avoid get-rich-quick schemes, and focus on consistent, sustainable growth when trading or investing.

It can be real, but context matters. Some traders risk 20 to 50 percent per trade. That can create massive growth fast, but it is unstable. Sustainable trading usually shows moderate growth with controlled drawdowns, not extreme spikes.
