Maybe someone can explain me how the settings reallywork as I dont get it.

You can try them out in the Simulator - I use ATLASTicklmill als Provider.
Giving his Account is 16.000$ and my Account is only 2000$ - I would say that from the accountsize I should set the multiplier to just 0.16 to have the 8:1 value.

But if I do this - the simulator shows that my 'Minimal Balance' should better be at 16.000$ - while my Hypothetical Drawdown is at 5.5%.

As far as I understand 'Minimal Balance' should reflect my own Account Size - so I try to meet this - now I have to set the multiplier to 2.5 to meet a Minimal Balance of 2000$ - BUT on the other side the Hypothetical Drawdown raises to 44%.

So if anyone could explain me what this multiplier is doing ....

Hi Phil, ignore the calculator. It makes no sense. What I did was to set the ratio to 1:1 and then using the options in the settings, limit the number of open trades and fixed the trade size. I suppose with a $2,000 deposit, you can set each trade to 0.02 lot and limit it to 5 trades.

I don't think they look at just the last 3 months. You need to have at least 3 months of trade history but your current DD is 44% versus a 32% abs gain. Great performance btw.

Hi, I Am having trouble loading live data in autotrade. Everytime I try to manage my account the page gets stuck to loading live data. This problem started only in the previous 2 days. Anyone experiencing the same problem? Any advice to fix this? I just have 3 demo accounts in which I am keen to go live. Thank you.

hello guys, this account (demo) is open from June 2015. I use 2 trader, lucky pound and Atlas. my only question is this, is it really possible to have these results in a real account? more or less how much money you hold your trader by a gain like that? thank you

^^ No the demo accounts don't factor in the spread, typically for each trade you'll be 1 - 2 pips worse off depending on your broker.
no pain no gain.

So, do someone with a real Autotrade copy account is experiencing such amazing positive slippage numbers? Or is it Disney slippage what MyFxBook calls asymmetric slippage?

Thanks!

Checkout Snowy's account I think it says all that needs to be said https://www.myfxbook.com/members/snowy/myfxautotrade-live/1902265

38 euro in commission to make 13? The fact is most of the providers Expectancy is just to small to overcome any type of slippage +/-, those with higher Expectancy use Gold to up there Expectancy!

I have been studying this for a while seems most of the systems are setup to just make the provider profit, if their gold trades aren't a substantial portion of the Gain AND your broker has a lower spread than theirs, not sure how one would profit.

I have a demo with both +/- slippage and has 267% gain in 7 months but at 4.9 pips Expectancy not much room for slippage. Take a look @Snowys account do a Custom Analysis remove XAUUSD for the Analysis and you'll see the Expectancy drops to 0.8... 😲

Not sure if there is a way to overcome this without providers who aim for higher profit targets.

Good Luck!

Hey Guys I am asking what are the statistics your looking for? What numbers are important to impress you to follow?

From the High figures:
- abs Gain,
- pip in Expectancy (excluding metals)
- pips in Average Win (excluding metals) being aprox or higher than Average Loss

From the low figures:
- DD

Personally I dont like to see frequent deposits but I do like to see frequent withdrawals. The equity curve should not be visible from the growth chart, i mean, no equity excursions. I dont like to see more than 3 trades opened at once (same pair and time)

In addition to Aimak's list I also look at;

Risk of Ruin; any number above 0.01% is where you can expect Draw Down to occur or fall(if a provider has 0.25% at 30% than you are likely to see a DD at that level) if this number is > 1.0% at 50% than I move on.

SL if the provider doesn't use a SL on every trade I move on. Even though this is required by myfxbook to be a provider there are a few who have many open trades with no SL.

If I find a provider I want to follow I'll monitor their system and try to start following them after a draw down.
