Hi, I use FXCM and the Trading Station platform. I know, I know, they have MT4 as well, but I prefer the TS platform for several reasons, and one is that it shows the Profit and Loss in dollars when you set your stop loss and TP levels. This is great for picking up typos and mistakes..
So, I ALWAYS open 2 orders at once, at a percentage of total risk. each order that i open at once is NOT identical in size. one is 40% of the risk, one is 60% of the risk. I want to be able to enter ONE entry rate, ONE stop loss and TWO target levels and have my 2 orders placed by a script. I sometimes enter up to 10 pending orders at once, so this would save some time!
Alternatively, I could do this: In FXCM Trading Station, you can close any number of lots from any order at any time. This would be great for me, as I always have 2 orders in for each currency. If I have one order, and a script to take off 60% at target one, I can just have one order in the market. Is there a way to do this with the LUA language?
Either option above would suit my purposes well, but I'm not sure how easy they are to code. I assume that the second one would be easier, as it is already a manual option, just not available in a stop or limit order type.
If anyone has any info for me or can help, it would be greatly appreciated! Again, I'm not even sure if script is the right word here..
Thanks
Shay
