Any plan to connect myfxbook with facebook? Perhaps we can publish our daily closed pips in our status.. something like that.

We haven't thought about it but it is possible.

Are you aware you can connect twitter to facebook? So you can actually use the existing twitter functionality for the same purpose on facebook.

And it works like a dream. You can have this displayed in your status.

WhyLose: Closed Buy $EURUSD 1.36585 for -87.5 pips, total for today +202.4 pips

You WILL lose a few friends though. 😲

I will be spamming my friends if my status gets updated everytime I do a trade. I am thinking of once per day update (unlike twitter which update continuously per trade).

The status will be showing cumulative pips for the day and the month, and it is posted only once per day, something like..

Total pips today is -14.0 pips, total pips for this month is +379.10 pips

If this get posted only once per day I think I should not be losing any friends.. 😄

Do a facebook page, I use yakkit to connect twitter to the facebook page only, so only page fans get the update, not friends.

It's new stuff. Only been able to do it for a few weeks. Link is real ugly though and if you use bitly to shorten it gets even uglier as facebook sends out warning.

My blog posts go to twitter, twitters sends to facebook, plaxo, linked-in and buzz, probably 500 000 000 users than can find my trades and comments between that lot, if it isn't more....

The potential of that, a grood track record and a fully automated system. The mind boggles.

Still struggling with the broadcasting though. Some people complain i send to much, others say to little and then what I send isn't really what people look for.

I mean who is looking for #eurusd $$ other than a hardcore trader or pip counts? Need some sort of goal reporting, like I just did $100 or my portfolio just made 1% or something like that. Broadcasting say every x trade in a $ value or the portfolio value or something, i don't know.

To be honest I don't know how to do it. Not sure if a goal based broadcasts will work either...bit like Rubic cube for me at the moment. Great toy, but not sure how it works yet.

I think it is pretty trivial for myfxbook to do this.. (I guess).. if we can get enough votes maybe they will do it.

Requirement is simple, at the end of the day.. myfxbook will post cumulative daily & monthly pips to facebook. Provided there was a closed trade that day.

I think it would be better, instead of having just a fixed response, perhaps we can have some variables we can utilize to generate custom strings ourselves?

For instance, I might want to write something like:

'Seravitae's trading: I just bought %L of %S, and my stop loss is at %SL'

(%L = lots, %S = symbol, %SL = stop loss)

or something like that.
