The first full day watching the markets in November and target achieved
Month Five - November 2020 - 1% Goal Achieved
Started with £520.34
Placed two trades, 2 win's (£7.92) and 0 losses (£0.00) which resulted in a £7.92 profit (1.53%).
End of October balance £528.25
Another month of success, slowly keep building the account. If/when I get to month six with positive growth I will look to add an additional £500 to the account, the risk/reward % will remain the same.
Now the month is done, I’m going to put my feet up and read my brother’s book, Gold Rush (If you're interested https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08D8NJCJ3/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_NbTQFb988XA4R?_x_encoding=UTF8&psc=1).
See you in December

You’re correct, it won’t make me rich overnight and no strategy will. My plan is to build the account by 1% each more and every 6 months add capital to the balance. After a year of positive results I will start my own signal service/copier and add the fees generated from those to the balance. Between year two and three I will source external funding to increase my capital size further.
This is just one strategy that I’m pursuing, I will add another in the new year.

If you have a 100k account 1% per month would already give you a 1k per month of profit, which is a nice passive income.

Exactly and adding in compound interest means this can grow even faster.
This is just one of a handful of strategies that I used to use. The next one I'll launch in the new year is very similar but with a higher monthly target.

You can generate 12% in one month and then take a leave of full year.
If you can do that just do it. It's up to you. If the trader here is okay with 1%-10% per month, than just leave him doing his own thing. It's all about risk management and consistency. I've seen a lot of traders blowing up their accounts, because 10% per month wasn't enough for them (banks/brokers always win against such greedy minds). 😉

I like your thinking but it's not quite as simple as that. I'd lose out on the compound interest, increase my risks beyond what I'm comfortable with, and be away from the market for a long period of time and we all know things change quickly.
Still, putting my feet up for a year sounds good, I'd finally get the decorating finished.

I've been out of the market for quite a while and this is my way of getting back up to speed.
Ask @marco_mmbiz says, risk management and consistency over time is key. Once I'm fully back up and running I'll be happy making 2-5% a month, rebuilding my trading capital until I can resume full time trading. There's no need to be greedy, the market will be there tomorrow, in a month, year, decades time.

First active trading day in December
Month Six - December 2020 - 1% Goal Achieved
Started with £528.25
Placed two trades, 2 win's (£8.96) and 0 losses (£0.00) which resulted in a £8.96 profit (1.7%).
End of October balance £537.21
My broker announced a few days ago that they are closing all retail accounts at the end of December. I assume this means I will need to set up a new system on here rather than being able to link the two accounts to one system. I will keep you updated.
For those of you who were interested, my brother’s book we pretty good, less than 100 pages and easy reading, worth checking out.
