Hi Wackena.
Thank you for sharing the link, I like this style of trading, where can I get more information regarding installing the ea?
Is it fully automatic, and do we attached it to both currency charts. Thank You

Running v2 on myfxbook, which is earlier version developed on FXDD server. V3a is same EA adapted to run on 5 digits and ECN brokers. V4a is basically same trading strategy, but modified to be stricter on order entry to hopefully improve long term stability. Forward testing is underway to test 4a performance, but this can take several months.

I have a copy of this EA, and I'm running it currently on my demo account. I just wanted to know if you manually close some trades because your recent trades are closed here, but they are still in a loss on my account. What could be the problem?
Thanks for sharing the EA.

I found out the last trades were closed manually. I had ran the EA in visually mode and know it closes all trades of the same currency pair at the same time. This is not the case in the last trades. In other words, some manual intervention may be needed.
Its still profitable anyways, and I'm impressed with its performance on zulutrade as well.
I cant seem to find the v3a and v4a on the yahoo group link. Am I looking in the wrong place.?
Thanks.

So far no manual intervention. I would not know why your trades aare open. Most trades will have some negative float (DD) while open. The has 60% wins.
V3 is same as v2, except modified to also trade on 5 digit and ECN brokers.

I guess its because of the price differences in demo and live account quotes. I'm going live with this tomorrow. Thanks wackena!

pc8multifx posted:I'm with Go markets in Australia they are 5 digit also, Is version 2 working properly with you, have you done any adjustments.
my v2 version opened position on 5 digit too..... yet not closed😕
Also do we need to attach it to EURCHF as well or does it collect data without attaching it to EURCHF.
Cheers

Wackena,
I've followed your EA's for awhile now and am very impressed with this one. Any chance I could get the .set file and timeframe your running on?
Thanks!
I use default settings and can run on EURUSD and USDCHF on H1 chart.

For 5 digit brokers use v3 or higher.

i did a 1 year backtest on forex.com with v26. attached is the results. what is concerning is the 4 large drops in equity, presumably 4 bad trades? it ended up +20% for the year
have anyone else had similiar results in backtesting? i am trying to backtest on fxcm with v3 and v4 but it doesn't pickup any trades which is strange.

If not following the group discussions, it would be difficult to know the progression of this EA. V2 is the earlier version submitted by me to group. Other v2 versions, including v26 are modified version from the group that I have not tested. The versions I have tested are v2, v3, v3a, v4, & v4a.
Running v2 on myfxbook, which is the earlier version developed on FXDD server. v3 & v3a is same EA adapted to run on 5 digits and ECN brokers. V4 & v4a is basically same trading strategy, but modified to be stricter on order entry to hopefully improve long term stability. Forward testing is underway to test 4a performance, but this can take several months. V3a & v4a trades same as v3 & v4. Change in 'a' version was on a print command that had no effect on trading.

Thanks for clearing that information up. So now I got version 2 loaded. but what I'm noticing is my backtest on forex.com is alot different than the one I ran on fxdd.com not sure why. Should they be the same? Or could they really have this much variation on a live account? I can't believe that would be possible. But I really don't know.
I do know that the forex.com backtest said it had a 79% modelling quality whereas the fxdd backtest had only a 39% one. I am attaching the 2 graphs from those backtests for the timeframe Sept 1,2009 - Feb 26, 2010 which is the same timeframe that one of the backtests was done on 'FXDD-MT4 Demo Server 2 (Build 225)' which came in the zip file for the EA. I notice that particular backtest had a 90% Modelling quality and it also had much higher profit too. Don't know why. How there could be that much variation in results of backtests especially on the same broker, fxdd.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Attached are my 2 graphs of backtests on forex.com and fxdd.com
