Hello
Would you please kindly share what version of the EA and what settings you have been running on this account?
Thanks!

I am currently running version 6.10 with default settings. I do not disable currency pairs / strategies during news even if the vendor recommends it.

Thanks for the reply!
Just another question - what risk% are you using?

Hey forexgermany; which server is account on? I ask because I've noticed different trades with my copy of FRPEA despite being on the same broker.

Have you ever gotten Access Violation Write errors with this EA?

If not, are you running this on a Windows machine?

I have seen this error a few times, but not with Forex Real Profit EA. The EA is currently running on a Windows Server 2008 CNS VPS.

I have changed the settings.

As for the number of trades I have no easy explanation. One would have to compare trade for trade over a certain period of time. VPS and VPS location might have an impact - this is a scalper after all. A trade opened during news events might stay open for a few hours and block several fast trades the other account gets.

Please, do you have backtest?

I am currently running new backtests, but they take several days per currency pair so it will take a few weeks.

You said you changed the settings? If so, to what?

Also, which VPS is this on?

I changed the myfxbook settings to show magic numbers, as per your request.

CNS.

Ah, cool.

Alright, was wondering if you changed the default EA settings at all; standard 5% EURUSD, 3% everything else, right?

Default in the EA settings is 3.5%, recommended for EURUSD is 5%. I sometimes forget to adjust EURUSD and run all pairs with 3.5% for some time.

Hey guys, i am getting much less trades than the reference account. The trades are mainly from the night scalper strategy. I have an LMAX account with CNS VPS. Any idea why this happens?

The EA has always been broker dependent. It worked great on the old Pepperstone accounts, but when they introduced the new and 'better' edge servers the EA failed. Different price feeds, different internet connections, different operation systems (some people claim that Windows Server 2012 can handle more ticks per minute than Windows Server 2008), different network architecture, different VPS, other EAs on the same account and so on and so forth. Scalpers always come with a certain randomness.

Just try different brokers until you find one that works for you.

I have found the reason for the lack of trades on the night scalper strategies on my account. The reason are the high spreads avalaible on asian session that LMAX offers. Can you guys suggest a broker with acceptable spreads on asian session that fits FRPEA?

I guess the vendor is recommending IC Markets for a reason.

Since you are currently using LMAX I assume you want a broker in Europe. In that case I would suggest Darwinex. Not sure about their Asian session spreads, but in general their spreads are quite good and they are UK regulated.
