Hi Fughe,

I was actually planning to run my MDP at IBFX Australia due to Professor53 experienced. Do you recommend using another broker instead? Frankly, I don't know of any broker that I can run this MDP. PM me if you know of reliable broker for MDP.

Tks,
During price spikes IBFX spreads drop to less than 2 pips. I know because my MDP trades there (US)

I have no idea and basically don't care. I am interested in the bottom line and mine is growing nicely. Furthermore, my account is on a private server owned by a member of this forum so I don't even know the settings. I think too many people on this forum, and others, focus too much on the tiny things and don't focus enough on the big picture. Which is: Am I making money at a reasonable rate. In my case my account has been there three weeks and it is up by about 30% so even though others may and probably are doing better I am satisfied with my results.

Lastly, let me point out that I have in excess of 50 years experience in financial markets having been a successful broker at Merrill Lynch and Technical Analyst for them as well. I can tell you from many years of experience with the trading public that in general there is way to much over analysis going on.

Good luck

Few people here have been mentioning IBFX and IBFX Australia. They do not have requotes or off quotes and you can place super tight stops. I trade with them via Got Money FX they are an Australia WL of IBFX, but offer a spread reduction of 1/2 a pip which is great for MDP. I'm trading MDP with them on a live account and going well - no problems so far.

Reader, with all due respect your experience won't help you trading MDP successfully if you will ignore key elements important to its success. I assume your account is still in 'probation' phase and isn't very big. It's all nice and well when microlots are traded, however picture changes dramatically when you start having 3-5 standards per trade and 10 is total disaster. Then you need to start be involved into very deep technical details, usually after a blow of 10-20% of your account.

My account is about $7,700 so my current trades are about .80 lots. I have seen people post in forums that are opening positions between 5 and 10 lots and reporting good results. Where do you get your information? I would like to contact the person/persons this happened to and see just what happened. Sometimes this kind of information comes from assertions and not actual facts. Somebody gets upset and posts something that is just made up and then it takes off and gets repeated like as if it were true. So help us out. Did this hapen to you? Or please let me know where it came from. I would llike to see it for myself and get into what actually happened.

I had trades over 10 standards lots due to order grouping on. Most of attempts to modify these trades resulted in requotes, invalid price, trade context busy, etc and on most occasions they were lost, unless MDP managed to call a top and catch a full reversal.

today 2 spikes, all loss

I am using pepperstone razor with CNS VPS.

What I found interesting is during the spike, I can't login to my VPS....not sure whether it is the problem of CNS.

Second spike has a decent broker response in terms of execution, third was turd... really bad slow execution, small loss.

I made 1 trade on GBP USD that was a winner. Very Small though, and 2 trade groups on the euro, overall I made just under 1% for the night. Not a big night, but I'm still happy with the profit.

Hi,

Anyone know how to properly clean the EA's log? I tried to clean it by removing the files in C:\Program Files\MetaTrader\experts\logs but it was made the MT4 not working properly. I had to repair the MT4 to make it working again.

That log folder already reach more than 20GB, I know somewhere in this discussion forum someone already mentioned on how to do this, but I don't remember on which page. Can someone help me on this? Thanks.
