Even a complete newbie knows that historical market behaviour must not happen again and if market changes the pattern, losses are huge... this is another William's sick ea concept (like MDP GBP/USD, MDP USD/JPY and Fast Forex Millions - strategies that simply suck)

not necessarily, Lobo. it's hard or impossible to predict longer term reactions based on historic patterns, but it works for very small time frames though. not a 'sure thing' but can be profitable. the question is how much is there real research and quality development behind and how much hype.

FinFX ECN Pro gone bad, true, slippage now is the same as on their regular ECN, perhaps too much people got involved or they switched it to the same liquidity pool as their other accounts, second is more probable. But overall latest results not due to issues with MDP but with changed market conditions, same happened to my own robot that also traded retracements, it lost even more than MDP and goes to shelf for time being until it can be improved enough. MDP wise I will trade it very light basically to see when better markets return and then load it up again. Nothing works every time.

a valid point but Pepperstone was slipping like hell a long time ago, FinFX ECN was slipping too, but FinFX ECN Pro at the beginning was much better and started to slip bad about a month ago. I started with ECN PRo almost at its inception in Dec 2011.

Lobo, I am not using commercial EA with the exception of MDP and I used FGB before. But if real life tests after several month will give nice results - quite possible. For me it is essential to have a low drawdown. I stopped using FGB because it started to generate severe loss periods, now same for MDP. I am testing harmonic trading EA and subscribed for HAT solution from FXGroundworks. I believe these will do much better in a long run even if immediate results aren't that impressive like FGB or MDP at their heydays.

so i bought mdp... and try to use it with my mt4... but is not working... as soon as i try to add this ea to the eur/usd chart, my MT4 crashes and closes... i'm using the broker FXDD... does MDP not work with FXDD?!!... does anyone know?... FXDD has a MT4 build 225, which is the one i'm using... i email MDP, they said try to use an older build, and it should work... does anyone know anything about this?...

So guys, I am out of this thread, because I do not use MDP original version any longer.
I use a nice clone of it, which trades much better on live account than the original version on demo!
This is possible, because you can tweak the clone in a better way than mdp can be done.
Today it made me about 15% profit, where the original version did not even trade.
So, good luck to you all with your trading.
