Hi Good People

Since 27 nov 2013 I had 19 trades with sPantom Autotrader.

15 Positive and 4 Negative

Im using standard setup and 10 % risk on a micro account at Armada Markets.

StopLoss logic seems is about double size of TakProfit.

The numbers are here :

        Date Lots Profit/Loss
1. 27/11 0.01 -0.64
2. 28/11 0.01 0.24
3. 1/12 0.01 0.74
4. 3/12 0.01 0.74
5. 9/12 0.01 -0.61
6. 9/12 0.01 1.15
7. 10/12 0.01 -0.64
8. 10/12 0.01 0.68
9. 10/12 0.01 0.28
10. 10/12 0.01 0.22
11. 11/12 0.01 0.73
12. 11/12 0.01 0.75
13. 16/12 0.01 0.72
14. 16/12 0.01 0.73
15. 19/12 0.01 -1.45
16. 20/12 0.01 0.34
17. 20/12 0.01 0.90
18. 20/12 0.01 0.46
19. 7/1 0.02 1.41

Look for youself :)

The full statement is here, but You cant really use it because of many others trades is included.

https://www.rapidshared.dk/real/armada/statement.htm

But you can use it as prove from an indepentent source if you want to look after the numbers above.

I can highly recommend sPhantom Autotrader as one of my tree favorite EAs!

The others EAs are Forex Diamond and Forex Hot Shot :)

https://www.forexhotshot.com/

Thanks and gratitude for you good work team sPantom.

Has anyone experienced problems changing the RISK PERCENT value. Evertim me or my Vps support team tried, it was automatically returning to its original value after saving.

Thanks for your help!

No problems with saving values.
Open the *.set with text editor to verify your values. It's readable.
(Probably missing rights in writing the file or located at on other place ?)

Hi
EA seems to be stable.. all of us looking at very impressive equity .. but take into consideration, this is reference account, kind of marketing ( and I don't blaim vendor ! this is normal, sales strategy ) but everybody has to understand , what risk is acceptable for your own account..
The true about forex market is:
- small account > big risk and big amount > small risk
- expect all unexpected !

let see what would happen with 10% risk .. balance=1000$, trading position=0,1 lot..
if market plays against us.. EA opens second trade, so we have now 0,2 lots.. and in the worst scenario, if price is still running againts us, EA will close both trades ca with SL=200 pips .. so, we would lose 400 $ = 40% of our initial balance !! Now, we need get double profit to recover our original balance. For me totally unacceptable !

In my opinion, reasonable risk (depends on acount balance) should be :
100$ - 10 % (0,01 lot)
1000$ - 5 % (0,05 lot)
10 000$ - 2 % ( 0,2 lot)
100 000$ - 1% (1 lot)

@Bogdan
that's fine and is true for all trades : worst trades musn't kill ones account.
sphantom customer service answered to me to have 4% as maximum for my account and leverage what is 1:50.
Reading through internet may result in choosing setting risk factor to 2% for any trades.
If running multiple ea you may split risk on same or similiar currency pairs.

Dude... go get yourself a savings account at 1 -4% interest... Any EA comes with risks.. Most EA's fail... This has been performing since May 13.... This is by far better than any you will find on the market.. If u cannot handle risk do not be here put your money in the bank.. Most of us traders use this Copier as a supplementary trade and take profit.. If you can find better (which you will not) go there and trade.. And if u want to do your .05 lot trades then seriously why bother??? While you type keep cursing we are enjoying very nice profits from a very reliable EA...

@jaster77

well, you mixed risk 1% with expected profit.. that won't be 1-4 % per year..
if account = 100k $ and you trade with fixed lot size = 2 lot (2% risk).. you would get 20-30% profit per year.. with potential DD=10%
and that is just very good..

of course, if account=100$ you can enjoy even with risk 40%.. all what you can lose is 100 $

I did't say anything bad abt this EA.. only abt MM.. but this is an individual choice

All perfect reasons why profit should be withdrawn regularly. In less than a month and a half, the EA has almost paid for itself; and that's with risk set at no more than 20. Since they started in May, the EA has not hit it's SL (yet).

I don't believe that sPhantom would allow the EA to run to the full 200 pip SL. I think this is an emergency SL if communications are lost or some unforseen circumstance would happen that they lost control.

To sPhantom - You need to communicate with your users in a clearer more defined manner. If my assumptions are correct, why don't you just come out and say...'The 200 pips SL is an emergency SL. We watch the markets and we will manually close a losing trade at a time we deem appropriate. We cannot give you an acceptable specific pip loss because it depends on market conditions, levels or support/resistance, etc.

Just your saying that the 200 pip SL would normally not be hit in normal controlled conditions would do a lot to take some of this heat off. On the other hand, a lack of clarification on your part would confirm the fears of those most concerned.

I guess at the end of the day, this is a grid trader, and when I use grid traders I set my SL = 500 pips, but they're frequent traders, not the same style of sphantom.
I recall the vendor saying this is an emergency SL and the software will close the positions before it hits the full 250 pips SL.
Scroll back the pages you'll find him saying the exact words of yours!

well... they can open 2 trades maximum. I don't flag this EA as a grid EA.

Hi All,

I have been running sPhantom on a live/real money account with Global Prime since Jul 22, 2013. I am strictly using the OOTB settings including risk. My account details are:

https://mt4i.com/users/rsmereka

Even though I am against poor RR EA's, to date, sPhantom has done very well for me. I transfer out 50% of the profit each month.

You can read about my sPhantom experience at:

the problem i think is, when the master acc gets a blow he will stop sending signal ,you gotta get in sooner than later, not any better than a martingale grid or some other sort o high risk trading, too late to get in ,but the good thing different than fx papa is there is an news filter working this time

Can you explain how this is not any better than a martingale or any other kind of grid?

There's never more than 2 trades open; usually only one is opened and then closed a bit later.

How can the account suffer a blow unless there are open losing trades being carried forward?

Steve;

Putting the best spin on rob559's bloviating....Its not better, or worse, than a martingale. Its different. A martingale can kill your account all at once. A normal trading system like sPhantom can kill you by the 'death by a thousand cuts.' Both take money management to mitigate risks.
