The unemployment rate in Australia came in at a seasonally adjusted 4.0 percent in December, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday - in line with expectations and up from 3.9 percent in November.

Australia Westpac Consumer Sentiment Weakens In January
Australia's consumer confidence weakened in January but things are expected to improve, survey results from Westpac showed on Tuesday. The Westpac-Melbourne Institute Consumer Sentiment Index declined 0.7 percent to 92.1 in January from 92.8 in December.
