Macau Balance of Trade
Macau's trade imbalances have been increasing in recent years, owing to a combination of diminishing exports and increasing imports. Most of the goods exported from Macau are textiles, wine, and tobacco. Other items exported include machinery and transport equipment, copper, watches and diamond jewelry, office machines, and telecommunications equipment. Among the items imported by Macau include food and beverages, gold jewelry, mobile phones, watches, handbags, automobiles, footwear, and personal computers. Hong Kong, Singapore, Germany, Taiwan, and Hong Kong are Macau's primary trading partners. Other important partners include China and the United States.
