The Producer Price Index (PPI) is a measure of the average change over time in the prices paid to local manufacturers for the production of products and services in Rwanda. It shows pricing changes for all aggregated products, products for local sales, and products for exports. It includes a sample of 114 companies and 402 items from across the country, including both rural locations and Kigali City.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the RWF while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the RWF.
