Food and non-alcoholic beverages are the most important categories in the consumer price index in Serbia accounting for 32.1% of total weight, following by housing and utilities account for 13.7% of the total, transportation contributes for 12.7%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco accounting for 7.3%, recreation and culture accounting for 5.6%, and communication accounting for 5.1%. The remaining 23.5% of the weight is accounted for by the following categories: health, miscellaneous goods and services, furniture, household goods, and maintenance, clothing and footwear, restaurants and hotels, and education.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the RSD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the RSD.
