In addition to having an export-oriented economy, South Korea is the world's top manufacturer of screens and memory semiconductors, as well as the world's second-largest manufacturer of ships. The services sector accounts for the greatest proportion of GDP (about 57% of GDP). Services with the highest importance are those related to public administration (6%), education  (5.3%), information and communication (5%), and corporate activities (4.6%). South Korea's manufacturing industry is significant, and it has helped the country become a major exporter accounting for 32% of the country's GDP.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the KRW while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the KRW.
