The Current Account balance is calculated as the difference between exports minus imports of products and services, net factor income (such as interest and dividends), and net transfer payments (such as foreign aid).
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

The HCOB flash composite output index dropped unexpectedly to 44.5 in February from 47.6 in January. The score signaled the steepest fall since September 2023. The reading was seen at 48.0.
