The unemployment rate in Sri Lanka is calculated as a percentage of the total labor force by counting the number of individuals who are seeking employment.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the LKR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the LKR.
