Economy of Turkey
The Turkish economy is the nineteenth biggest in the world and is an emerging market economy. In recent years, Turkey's financial and currency markets have been unstable, and the country's economic future is unclear due to political unrest and participation in regional violent conflicts.
The service sector accounts for the majority of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), followed by the industrial and agricultural sectors.
Electronics, petrochemicals, automobile manufacture, textiles, building materials, and household appliances are among the major industries.
Turkey's largest commercial partners include Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Italy, and China, with several of them ranking first in both exports and imports.
Bank of Turkey
Turkey's central bank is the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), it is responsible for the issuance and management of the Turkish Lira (TRY), the national currency of Turkey and Northern Cyprus, as well as the implementation of monetary policy and management of foreign exchange reserves.
Interest Rate of Turkey
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey's Monetary Policy Committee is in charge of setting the Interest Rates on government bonds. In 2018, The central bank altered its monetary policy strategy. Previously, it utilized a system with four primary key rates. One of the most closely watched was the late liquidity window loan rate.
