Willy, did you follow Multiaccountmanager's recommendations and use lowcostforex.com as your broker? Looks like it worked OK for you. Multiaccountmanager is still providing copier service for Pip & Run. Did you stop when you heard the FPA news?Thanks for any feedback.Lardo

To the vendor...Have some questions. The Myfxbook stats show drawdown at 9.22% and an impressive growth rate which tempts me and possibly others to consider investing in your EA. However, I did some diligence on some of the data which seems to contradict the Myfxbook data - for example, the two trades on the 9th September which stayed open for 12 days closing on the 22nd September shows both trades in significant drawdown of -261.9pips/-USC1649.97 and -317pips/-USC1110 equating to just under 80% total drawdown on the account balance of around USC3450 at that time. Good news on CAD unemployment data. Back to a mere 84pip DD as opposed to the earlier 126pip deficit. Not enough to dig us out of the trade so only bad CNY AUD data next week will give us a chance to BE.Getting concerned at the increased frequency that CTP makes bad trade decisions. I'm tempted to place opposite trades to CTP as I would stand to make a lot more pips than CTP is struggling to achieve these days. :(:(

Update on my last post - I guess Divine intervention took place (Doug closing out manually...?) on the EURJPY position. Frankly I'm happy with a 16pip loss versus the 120+pip drawdown we've seen. Where is everybody? At church/synagogue/mosque praying for divine intervention on these two trades?Fingers crossed CTP recovers.It seems to me a consistent trait of successful EA's that the strategies start to fail over time having had a sometimes lengthy successful runs. Some discussion here about why strategies generally start to fail and oft quoted "changes in market conditions" might be good. This thread is so bereft of contributions, it's a little weird. What we are witnessing here is to my mind the best EA out there. So for those of you who are frustrated at lack of trades - ie; zero trades since Feb 13th - better brace yourselves. For the whole of April through to August 2014 inclusive, VTP made a grand total of 3 trades. We could be in for another 5 month drought.That said, this is the safest EA out there so I for one won't knock it. This EA only trades when the confluence of multiple signals are right. Sometimes that can mean a long wait. This is a long term patience play.Nonetheless, the EA pulled a net 511 pips over 2014. The only 3 stop losses over the life of the EA occurred Jan and Feb of 2014...

Well, I have to say I'm angry about sPhantom opening a buy trade 1 hour before the FOMC announcement. I decided to grit my teeth and trust in the EA, but now feel a chump for doing so. just coming up to Euro opening as I type this and down about 25% DD. sPhantom has completely lost it's mojo this last month. It's latency pure and simple. At the exact point that sPhantom sent the close signal, there was a spike up. Both my trades closed at 9.39am - same as sPhantom's account. But within those 60 seconds the market spiked up. As a consequence I closed out at a loss of $81.45 on the first trade and positive $50.86 on the second - while sPhantom lost $58.52 on the first and gained $73.48 on the second. If the signal goes out mid spike in times of volatility there's a chance you could lose money. That's what's happened here.My account was around $1435 now $1405, similar to sPhantom...

Yes, I closed out at a loss too - but seems that at the moment sPhantom closed out, there was a spike up and the latency in sending out the close signal and actually closing was enough to put me (us) at a loss. I think it's just unlucky on the timing of that spike. Sh** happened.

Hi I see a combination on Friday of Draghi EUR pumping followed by NFP good news resulting in EUR dumping was too much for the EA to handle, which called the direction wrong both ways. Sh*t happens I guess, but I'm thinking that some kind of trade blackout during such news announcements could be a good plan. forexenvy has a good system for this - though I think xcalper would be far more successful in the long run than forexenvy! Can't believe the lack of discussion on this thread.... Been monitoring Xcalper live (and demo) accounts for a while now, and the results seem pretty astounding on the live account. Yes the hedge didn't work on the demo account and it went pop, but I do wonder if that was because it was on a conventional wide spread IBFX account versus the low latency narrow spread IC Markets live account.
