Anyone Trading For A Living?

That can and does happen I'm sure. But experienced traders don't let that happen. One reason I chose to trade short term. i may not make 400 pips on a long wave, but I can make a good profit % return now that I stay with my system, and glued to the screen. Even with stops/limits, I don't feel good about leaving a trade on for long periods. One way to avoid that is scale in your stops so that if it does turn on you, you're guaranteed some profit, even if it's very little, better than any loss...just my opinion...

[/qTrue, If/When I lose, It's me. And I don't have a set risk frame. It's all based on the setup. I trade short periods though most of the time. I also know that if you take a little break away from the screens, you perform better, at least I do. I missed a lot of in and outs on the aud/usd today, but there will be others. I'm raising my 5-7% per month goal to 10%, and move on up..we'll see if I can pull it off..

Well, they say, dream big, so if I can reach far and beyond my goal, I plan to give 10% of my earnings to charitable organizations that are in low awareness and most in need. I already help with what I can, it just makes me feel great to know I have helped people, as good as an awesome trade. Because of my medical conditions, trading for living is all I have left for a secure financial future. I have the moral support of my family and that helps tremendously. I hope for all the best this year to fellow traders. What a great site (myfxbook.com) Never let site go down!

Well;IMHO; you overcome bad trades by learning what you did wrong, and stop doing it. It's all about entry and exits. You can have the most accurate sys in the world, but if you don't enter/exit right, less profit. I once made 10 trades and lost 7 of them. the 3 I made profit was 3 times my loss; that will help you overcome it.A: Whatever worksB. The lot size depends on how strong the setup is. If I trade large lots, I always stay with the trade till closed, always short time frames, and very seldomC. Scale in a long term position for as long as the market aloows.Don't be greedy an...

Thanks for the heads up^, personally, I need to stick with my system, not that's it's better than any other or visa versa, just a problem I will rid myself of this year and in coming years. Stuff like that is what diverts traders if/when they become vunerable. You could copy trade anybody/broker you want without paying any fees, other than the investment. Sure it's a robot, but to me IMHO, you eliminate the human factor, and the % of problems goes way up. Nobody/No-thing is perfect or even near it. But I won't let a robot do what I love doing to begin with. If you want to unves...

"andrewchak"good planning C (CESTRADES). 3-5% avg per month consistently. I think that's a very realistic and achievable goal. i trust tat you can do it cos u seem very patience with your trading. Thanks andrewchak, a problem of mine that I need to stop right away is trying to many different approaches. As you can see on my page, the graph, which is very helpful, shows the classic stairway bi-polar effect cause I tried several other different systems and it didn't work for me. I was thinking that there may be a better system, but you get to a point where the only thing you ca...

Trading for a living, exclusively, would rock, I work nights and like what Im doing, and will till I can't. My goal is to not trade so much, I have a better % return, and leave the demo on for practice skills. The last 2 weeks or so, on demo, I messed around with other combo's of trade methods and learned to stay with what works, don't guess, and keep doing it. 2013 Goal=make a 3-5% avg per month consistently! Best in 2013 fellow trader
