Hello, I want to know your opinion about the best forex brokers in South Africa. Who do you think is the best one? I am looking for a trustworthy and reliable company with low spreads or commissions. So far I came across two solid brokers that are in accordance with https://www.fsca.co.za/Fais/Search_FSP.htm regulated by the FSCA - Plus500 and AvaTrade, suggested in the article - https://tradingbeasts.com/best-forex-brokers-in-south-africa/. Which one do you think is a better option for me? So far I am leaning towards Plus500 as they offer to have an account in Rands. But I am open to other su...
1:200 leverage

Completely agree Richard, 1:200 leverage is way too high, I don't think that retails clients should even have the option to use such enormous leverage. I believe that such high leverage is only offered by off-shore brokers but then again I read this article about a CySEC regulated broker IQ Option, https://tradingbeasts.com/iq-option-review/#Leverage , and found out that the maximum leverage actually depends on where you reside. Meaning that if you live somewhere in the European Economic Area or in the UK, you will be able to use a maximum of 1:30 leverage but if you are based in some Afri...

Bonuses are available only in certain countries (outside EU). There is a good reason why they are not available in the EU. If a broker offers a deposit bonus, it has to be turned over so many times that most people can't do it and when they ask for a withdrawal, the broker tells them that they can't withdraw any money.

How can you guys say that 1:200 is good for newbies? On the contrary, the bigger the leverage you use, the more capital you risk (and also pay more fees). Not to mention, that EU regulated brokers can offer a maximum of 1:30 on major currency pairs.
Best Broker for a Newbie

Generally speaking, for a newbie is best to choose a broker with a low minimum deposit so you could trade with real funds while not risking too much. All other respects by according to which you should choose a broker are very similar to what advanced traders are looking for. Opinions on the best brokers for newbies vary, look for a solid trading educational portals like https://brokerchooser.com/, https://tradingbeasts.com/, https://www.investopedia.com/. Each of them recommends different companies, but I believe they are all solid options so check out some reviews and see what company you li...

90%? I have read on the https://www.thebalance.com/why-do-forex-traders-lose-money-1344936 that even as much as 96% of forex traders lose money. Having said this, 100% beginners with no strategy lose money 😁
