I ended up closing them out because of the lower volatility of Fridays. Chances are all of those trades will close around the same pip value as mine due the internal timer and lower volatility.

If anyone is worried about the EU, you have several options. You can stop trading until the situation is resolved. You can leave the EA running and make use of the features that exist such as breakeven, max number of trades and pause minutes. Setting breakeven to true, max number of trades to 1 and pause minutes to 240 would help protect your account in the event of huge sudden movement. Assuming stop losses are honored and you're trading on three pairs, eurusd, gbpusd and usdchf, the most you would stand to lose per single set of trades would be 180 pips. The potential for gain however wo...

Many people make suggestions that do not always work. I look into them and make a decision for myself. Volume filter is not reliable. If you look at the trend for Keltnerpro, it has been exactly the same for the last year. Your patience is rewarded with big wins that compensate for the loses. One bad three week patch is not enough to say Keltnerpro needs updates. It has had bad months in the past and without any serious modifications to the strategy, it recovered just fine. I'm not opposed to updating the EA, but I also try not to act rashly as changing an effective strategy too quickly c...

forexstriker: Please don't misconstrue facts to people. You asked for source code. I'm sorry but I'm not giving it away for free. End of story. The only way I would have been inclined to accept your help and offer you the code for free would have been based on trust, which clearly has been lost.

Over the duration of my live account(About a years time), I have been amassed a profit of negative 293.9 pips on the AUDUSD pair. Results were about 25% more profitable without it.

Using the breakeven feature should help with situations like that. Overall I ended up with pretty good results today.

It's really personal preference. While both settings are profitable, I just prefer having them set to false. The breakeven feature may reduce the number of loses, but it can also cut off a big win. So it's a trade off.As for only setting max trades to 3 instead of 5, it just seemed like high risk when I was trading 5 pairs.

Keltnerpro was never curve fitted. The results you have seen the past year were not the result of optimizations, but more the result of an effective strategy.

All of the charts work independently of each other, so you can leave the magic number the same and you won't run into any issues.

Surely.I currently have Breakeven = falseEntry_Filter = falsepauseminutes = 0I am currently using a fixed lot size, but using the default risk should yield good results as well.I am using the latest version that is found in the members area. The pairs I am trading are EURUSD, GBPUSD, and USDCHF.

Sometime last week I set the lots to 0.1 lots per every 1000 USD in the account. Which at $193,000 amounted to 19.3 lots.Generally KeltnerPro starts to pick to steam in March. December through February are not always the best months for KeltnerPro.

There was no manual intervention. I didn't even notice the Tessa until after they were already closed.

A risk setting of 0.05 is not actually 5% per trade. It's 0.05 lots per every 1000 USD in the account. It's more in the range of 1 to 2% per trade depending on the stop loss for any given trade. The range exists because the stop loss is dynamic.

Brokers only react to a strategy when it costs them money. There is no part of KeltnerPro that is abusive to a brokers profit share.Only dishonest brokers would ever try to find a way to block this strategy. In which case, you should probably stay away from that broker anyway.

While I can understand your sentiment, it is quite far from the truth. Not good for me? Yes, that would be true. but bad for my customers? That is far from the truth. I was testing out an experimental version that only triggers the breakeven feature when X number of trades are open. The feature did not work as intended and ended up closing all of the positions instead of just one of them. I tend to test all my updates on my live account before I release them.Did it end up costing me money? It sure did, but it's something I am willing to sacrifice to ensure my product is working properly.Al...
