PTB Overall Information
About PTB
PTB, or Plutus Trade Base, is a simulated proprietary-trading evaluation provider operating since 2024. Traders use virtual balances in an environment designed to replicate market conditions. PTB does not accept trading deposits or place participants’ orders in live financial markets. Eligible traders receive performance-based rewards rather than profits generated directly from live trading.
PTB is operated by two legal entities. Triple Edge Group LTD, registered in Cyprus under company number HE465348, provides the educational and evaluation services and operates accounts on TradeLocker, cTrader, Match-Trader, DXtrade, and TradingView. PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD, registered in Saint Lucia under registration number 2025-00638, operates MetaTrader 5 accounts.
The current programs are Lightning, Freedom, Adventure, and Instant. Lightning, Freedom, and Adventure are one-step evaluations, while Instant provides immediate access to a simulated funded account without a challenge. Account sizes range from $5,000 to $500,000, depending on the plan.
PTB offers profit splits of up to 95%, plan-specific payout schedules, and a fee rebate after the third eligible payout. Trading permissions differ substantially between programs. News trading and Expert Advisors are available on Lightning and Freedom, whereas Instant prohibits news trading, EAs, automated trading, and weekend holding. Adventure permits DCA but prohibits news trading, HFT, and copy trading.

Trust and Safety
PTB provides simulated proprietary-trading evaluations and funded accounts for educational and assessment purposes. Traders use virtual balances, do not deposit trading capital, and do not place orders in live financial markets. Performance payouts are funded by the company and are not withdrawals of live-market trading profits.
Legal Structure
PTB is operated by Triple Edge Group LTD, registered in Cyprus under company number HE465348, and PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD, registered in Saint Lucia under registration number 2025-00638.
Triple Edge Group LTD provides PTB’s educational and evaluation services and operates TradeLocker, cTrader, Match-Trader, DXtrade, and TradingView accounts. PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD operates MetaTrader 5 accounts.
Broker and Platform Relationships
PTB is not a regulated retail broker. Its trading platforms and payment services are provided through independent third parties. Platform prices, availability, execution conditions, and technical stability may therefore depend on those external providers.
Transparency and Risk Controls
PTB publishes detailed rules for its Lightning, Freedom, Adventure, and Instant programs. These rules cover profit targets, drawdown calculations, profitable-day requirements, Best Day limits, maximum risk per trade, news trading, Expert Advisors, hedging, HFT, copy trading, and payout eligibility.
All accounts are monitored for fraud, platform exploitation, prohibited coordination, price-feed abuse, and other violations. PTB may review account logs and EA settings when it reasonably suspects prohibited conduct.
Verification and Disputes
KYC verification must be completed before the first payout. A payout may be delayed while KYC, AML, or fraud checks are performed.
Traders may appeal an account or payout decision within seven days by contacting support and providing relevant information. PTB states that it aims to resolve most formal disputes within 30 days.

Trading Rules and Restrictions
PTB’s rules differ substantially between its Lightning, Freedom, Adventure, and Instant programs. Traders should follow the conditions of their specific plan rather than treating the firm’s trading permissions as universal.
Lightning
The Lightning challenge has a 3% profit target, a 6% static maximum loss, no minimum trading-day requirement, and no time limit.
After funding, the account has a 7% payout target, a 4% static maximum loss, a 2% daily loss limit, a maximum risk of 2% per trade, a 40% Best Day rule, and a requirement for seven profitable days before the first payout.
News trading and normal non-HFT Expert Advisors are allowed. Automated high-frequency trading is prohibited.
Freedom
The Freedom challenge has a 5% profit target, a 5% static maximum loss, no daily loss limit, seven required profitable days, and no time limit.
The funded account has a 4% trailing drawdown and a 3% profit buffer that must be exceeded before a withdrawal. News trading and normal non-HFT Expert Advisors are allowed.
Adventure
Adventure is a $500,000 one-step challenge with a 4% profit target, a minimum of 30 trading days, a $10,000 maximum loss, and a 5% stable daily average requirement.
News trading, HFT, and copy trading are prohibited. DCA is allowed. These restrictions continue after funding.
Instant
Instant accounts have no evaluation. They apply a 10% trailing maximum loss, a 3% daily drawdown, a 20% Best Day rule, and a seven-trading-day requirement before the first payout.
News trading, EAs, bots, HFT, and weekend position holding are prohibited on Instant accounts.
Universal Restrictions
Hedging the same instrument on one or multiple accounts is prohibited. PTB also prohibits automated HFT, abusive high-frequency activity, delayed-price or off-market-price exploitation, price-feed manipulation, coordinated group trading, account sharing, fraudulent payments, and unauthorized system access.
Normal manual scalping, intraday trading, swing trading, and position trading may be used where permitted by the selected plan. Overnight and weekend holding, news trading, EAs, DCA, and copy trading are plan-specific permissions.
Scaling
A trader may request scaling after achieving at least twice the initial profit target while remaining fully compliant for seven consecutive days. Scaling requires approval from PTB. Instant accounts are excluded unless PTB provides written confirmation.
Inactivity
An account with no trading activity for 30 consecutive days may be deactivated and closed.
Breaches
Exceeding a daily or maximum loss limit is a hard breach and terminates the account. Some other violations may initially result in a warning, with a repeated violation becoming a hard breach. Traders may appeal a decision within seven days.
Tradable Instruments
A broad selection of tradable instruments allows traders to diversify risk, adapt to different market conditions, and apply multiple trading strategies within the same funded environment. PTB (Plutus Trade Base) provides access to a multi-asset CFD trading ecosystem designed for active traders, discretionary traders, and modern prop trading strategies.
Asset Classes
PTB offers access to several major financial markets through its supported trading infrastructure and liquidity providers.
Available instruments include:
Forex Pairs – Major, minor, and selected exotic currency pairs with competitive spreads and high leverage.
Indices – Major global stock indices including the NASDAQ, S&P 500, Dow Jones, DAX, FTSE, and Nikkei.
Commodities – Precious metals and commodity CFDs such as Gold, Silver, and Oil.
Stocks – Selected stock CFDs across major international markets.
Cryptocurrencies – Digital asset CFDs including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and other major cryptocurrencies.
Leverage Structure
PTB offers relatively aggressive leverage conditions compared to many traditional prop firms.
Typical leverage structures include:
Forex: up to 1:100
Indices: variable depending on volatility
Commodities: moderate leverage structures
Cryptocurrencies: lower leverage limits due to volatility risk
During periods of extreme market volatility or major economic events, PTB may temporarily reduce leverage levels in order to protect platform stability and manage risk exposure.
Supported Platforms
Having access to reliable and professional trading platforms is essential for traders to execute strategies efficiently, manage risk, and monitor performance in real time. PTB (Plutus Trade Base) supports several modern trading platforms widely used within the Forex and prop trading industry, allowing traders to choose the environment that best fits their trading style and technical preferences.
- Bybit
- TradeLocker
- Match Trader
- cTrader
- TradingView
- MetaTrader 5 (MT5)
PTB supports TradeLocker, cTrader, Match-Trader, DXtrade, TradingView, and MetaTrader 5. The available platform is selected during checkout and may depend on the trader’s country and chosen plan.
TradeLocker, cTrader, Match-Trader, DXtrade, and TradingView accounts are operated by Triple Edge Group LTD in Cyprus. MetaTrader 5 accounts are operated separately by PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD in Saint Lucia.
MetaTrader 5 is unavailable to U.S. persons and in jurisdictions where its use would be unlawful. Traders in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Belgium, Brazil, Japan, Israel, and Spain are directed to TradeLocker instead.
Features & Tools
PTB provides a trader dashboard for monitoring account performance, drawdown, trading history, payout eligibility, and rule compliance. The company also maintains an extensive FAQ, plan-specific rules, educational articles, Discord access, and customer support through email and WhatsApp.
Scaling
Eligible traders may request a scale-up after achieving at least twice their initial profit target while remaining compliant for seven consecutive days. PTB reviews each request before increasing the simulated balance and assigning updated targets and drawdown limits.
Instant accounts are excluded from the standard scaling program unless PTB confirms eligibility in writing.
Add-Ons
PTB currently describes two principal optional add-ons:
Profit-Split Add-On: Available for Lightning and increases the default profit split from 70% to 95%.
Withdraw-Anytime Add-On: Available for Lightning and Freedom and removes the standard 14-day interval between payouts. It does not remove other payout targets, profitable-day requirements, buffers, or risk limits.
Skill Score
Freedom funded accounts use a Skill Score to determine the maximum amount available in a single payout. It measures how evenly profits are distributed across trades. The score resets after each payout but does not determine whether the payout itself is approved.
Stabilisation Period
If a trader experiences two or more funded-account breaches, PTB may impose a 60-day stabilisation period. During this period, withdrawals are limited to $3,000 while the trader demonstrates improved risk management.
Commission Fees and Pricing
PTB offers Lightning, Freedom, Adventure, and Instant plans with different payment structures. Prices are presented in euros, while simulated account balances are generally denominated in U.S. dollars.
Lightning
Lightning uses a two-part payment structure. The trader pays a purchase fee before starting the challenge and an activation fee only after passing.
Lightning Pro purchase fees range from €39 for a $20,000 account to €149 for a $500,000 account. Activation fees range from €109 to €349.
Lightning Access is a promotional version with an initial payment of €5. Its activation fees range from €39 for a $5,000 account to €499 for a $500,000 account.
Freedom
Freedom uses a single payment with no activation fee. Prices range from €99 for a $10,000 account to €479 for a $100,000 account.
Adventure
The $500,000 Adventure account costs €129 and has no activation fee.
Instant
Instant accounts have a single fee ranging from €87 for $5,000 to €691 for $50,000.
Refunds and Fee Rebates
An unused purchase may be refunded within 14 days if the trader has not logged in to or activated the account. After an account has been used, payments are non-refundable under the standard cancellation policy.
PTB separately offers a fee rebate after the third eligible payout. Lightning traders receive a rebate of the activation fee. Freedom, Adventure, and Instant traders receive a rebate of the applicable one-time entry fee. Only one rebate is available per account.
Trading Costs
Spreads, commissions, swaps, and available instruments depend on the selected platform, plan, and asset. Traders should review the instrument specifications inside their assigned platform because PTB does not publish one universal commission schedule covering every account.
Payments and Profit Payout
PTB provides plan-specific payout schedules and profit splits of up to 95%. All payouts are performance-based and remain subject to the applicable account rules, KYC verification, and fraud or compliance checks.
Lightning
The first Lightning payout may be requested from day seven after completing seven profitable days and meeting the 7% payout target. The standard payout interval is 14 days, although eligible traders may select a Withdraw-Anytime Add-On.
The default Lightning profit split is 70%. The optional Profit-Split Add-On increases it to 95%.
Freedom
Freedom payouts are available after the account exceeds its 3% buffer. Requests can be made daily and are automatically approved. PTB states that these payouts are ordinarily sent within 24 hours.
A Skill Score determines the maximum amount that can be withdrawn in one payout.
Adventure
Adventure withdrawals are available anytime after the trader receives the funded account and satisfies the applicable account conditions. The profit split is up to 95%.
Instant
Instant traders may request their first payout after seven trading days. Requests are processed on demand, generally within 24–48 hours. The minimum withdrawal is $100.
Payment Methods
PTB sends payouts through approved payment providers. Available options include local-currency bank payments through Rise in supported countries and USDT through the TRC-20 network.
Provider charges may apply. PTB states that Rise fees may reach 2.75%, while other payment providers may charge up to 4%.
Fee Rebate
After the third payout, PTB rebates the fee paid to obtain the funded account. For Lightning, this is the activation fee. For Freedom, Adventure, and Instant, it is the one-time entry fee. One rebate is available per account.
Verification
KYC must be completed before the first payout. A request may be temporarily paused while PTB completes KYC, AML, fraud, or payment verification.
Payouts are not guaranteed. PTB may reduce or reject a request when profits result from a rule violation, prohibited strategy, or gambling-style risk.
