Looks like more consolidation expected for at least another week.

I can´t believe you guys are speaking about eu in such a light. The market yesterday along popped 120 plus pips and then dropped recovering the same amount. If you guys simply learn to trade on the lower tf you can make a ton of pips.

Eur/usd looks very much in a shakeout phase at the moment, bullish, bearish and bullish again, but fundamentally I'm still in favour of bears.

yes a very nice shake out phase. Hopefully the good traders can see and understand how to trade such positions.

EURUSD fell during yesterday session closing near the low of the day at 1.2658 after ZEW confidence survey showing that confidence in Germany and in the Euro zone is at its lowest in over 2 years. The pair still managed to close above the 10-day moving average creating an inside day.

ECB President Mario Draghi, will be at a Conference in Frankfurt.
He is expected to point out that the Bank is ready to act more if needed, following his comments that the ECB had reached its 'lower bound' with respect to interest rates.

Not only did EUR/USD reach the target at 1.2850 but it broke above that level and reached 1.2887. At the moment I think it's a little too early to tell whether it will start descending again. On the other head, it might keep climbing until it reaches target 1.2950, but I think that might take a while.

I posted a signal a couple of days ago:

buy-stop @ 1.2791
first - trade to near 1.2870 (first reverse-hook) -
mission accomplished - a break almost always trades to the reverse-hooks

then - trade to near 1.2970 (second reverse-hook)

@Cholipop Actually it is quite hard to predict the next days... on the technical analysis I could say everhithing is showing me a bull correction but the situation about euro area is terrible and it give me dubts to see a strong bull trend... What opinion u have about it?

EURUSD yesterday rose to 1.2886 following the unexpected news that US Advance Retail Sales fell by more than predicted in September. Most economists had already estimated a 0.1% fall in September, but sales fell by 0.3%.

The EUR/USD correction continues and it looks like it really might reach 1.2900 after it bounced back from the support level at 1.2700.

I agree, previous resistance may become support which may send the EURUSD to 1.2920 in the coming week trading.

let's see EMA 200 is acting as a strong resistance now, I think price will be pushed back to 1.2700 again

The dollar traded mixed against the major currency pairs.
Was higher than the NOK, AUD, NZD, CAD and SEK and lower than the JPY and GBP and virtually unchanged against the EUR and CHF.

The EURUSD seems to have lost its momentum around the 1.2800 level. Lets see where it heads from here.

EURUSD continues to consolidate above its 10-day moving average in a very mixed fundamental environment. We have markets trying to simultaneously process an apparent global slowdown (and its rate implications), good employment statistics (in the US), and risk aversion due to a variety of economic and political concerns.
