Read my posting from Jan. 19th...I seem to be the only one who occasionally posts real signals into this thread with exact entry price, SL placement and suggested exits. I also started posting signals to the GBP/USD thread.EUR/USD daily chartbuy at the high of today (ask price + 1 pip)which is 1.0677 on our chartsor at the hook price, which is the high of 1/17/17 (1.0719 + spread + 1 pip)place your SL @ 1.0450first exit near 1.0850second exit near 1.0950third exit near/below 1.1100Entry type: second up-hook

On January 19th I posted a major BUY entry signal off the daily chartwith 2 possible entry prices and 3 suggested exits:(1.2345 + spread + 1 pip)(1.2417 + spread + 1 pip)exit 1: near 1.2550exit 2: near 1.2650exit 3: near 1.3060Exit 1 has been reached and prices are headed toward exit 2.When trading major entry signals on long-term charts like the daily or weekly, it is important not to look at short-term intraday charts, as the temporary counter-trend can be very distracting and often causes a trader to exit much too soon.Instead, it is better to look at one time frame slower than the one that...

The 4 hr chart is currently in congestion with 13 bars, with a high center (1.0815)(see congestion definition in one of my previous posts)This may cause the trend to reverse some time today/tomorrow in attempt to close the GAP which is near 1.0850Possibly an opportunity to limit your loss or even make a little profit.Unfortunately, GAPs often remain open for an extended period of time.It depends on how today's bar closes.

EUR/USD daily chartthe daily chart is currently in congestion with 12 bars, including today's bar.in this particular case the measuring bar (MB) is easy to spot. it is the long "Brexit" bar 12 trading-days ago.All following bars have their open and close price inside the high and low of the MB (only open OR close is required)One of the characteristics of congestion is, ALTERNATING OPENS AND CLOSES in price bars.Usually there are 1 or 2 bars that open high and close low, followed by 1 or 2 bars where open and closes are vice versa.Last weeks' Thursday and Friday bars opened hi...

EUR/USD weekly chart updateOn Friday, several attempts were made to trade back into the congestion, but last weeks bar closed outside of the low of the MB, meaning that the congestion is void.Prices on the weekly are now in consolidation with 5 bars, the new bar tonight will be bar nr. 6, which is the most difficult to trade and should be avoided.Sometimes a situation like this causes a GAP to the downside when markets open tonight.

EUR/USD weekly-chart updateas I have mentioned in my previous posting, the weekly chart is in congestion, with the current bar being nr. 14According to the congestion rules, bars 11 through 20 have great potential to either open or close within the confines of the measuring bar (MB).The current bar (14) opened outside of the confines of the MB, and therefore has good potential to close inside the low/high of the MB.Yesterday's bar on the daily chart has already touched the low of the MB on the weekly chartThe low of the MB on the weekly chart is 1.1153meaning, in order to keep the price co...

EUR/USD daily/weekly chart updateLast Friday, bar nr. 16 broke out of congestion on the daily chart, and bar 17 stayed outside, meaning, there is no congestion on the daily chart anymore. However, the weekly chart is still in congestion, the current bar is nr. 14.Bar 14 opened outside of the confines of the measuring bar (MB).Historically seen, chances are that this weeks bar will close at or above the MB's low, which is at 1.1153 on our charts.

EUR/USD daily chartI have explained price congestions many timesCongestion = bar 11 through bar 21first bar to trade is bar 17today's bar on the daily chart is bar nr. 16As one can see, even after the big break over night, prices are trading back toward the low of the MB which is at 1.1135Trust the rules that you know and what you see on the charts and not what you think or others think. And that includes the media with all the hype!Weekly chart on bar 13Monthly chart on bar 14Trade within the confines of the high/low of the MB, using a faster time frame than the one that is in congestion....

The 1 hr chart is in congestion now with 11 bars. the low of the MB is today's open price (1.1293).With a little luck the gap will be closed in the next few hours. It may help you a lot if you ask for help before you get into a trade instead of asking for help when you are already in a trade. My question again... what was your sell - entry price?

If you don't know HOW to place the STOP, then you need to read the user manual of your trading terminal. If you don't know WHERE to place the STOP, then I can post instructions here with a chart example.

Hello Silk, what price did you sell at?And where is your stop-loss?Today's bar opened with a small GAP, so chances are that prices may trade back to the open price 1.1293.In addition, today's bar on the daily chart is nr. 15 in congestion, which may also be in your favor. The weekly chart is in congestion with 13 bars, and the monthly chart is currently on bar 14.When any time frame is in congestion (bar 11 through bar 21) one should only trade a lower time frame and stay within the boundaries of the one that is in congestion. The boundaries are the high and low of the measuring bar (MB)...

EURUSD / 1 hr chart updateit is important to notice, that the fake-break occurred on bar nr. 16, which is not a tradable bar according to the price bar formation rules.Prices quickly turned and the bar closed right in the middle of the MB.

EURUSD / 1 hr chart. The current bar is bar nr. 14. count 14 bars back and you'll find the MB.If you are in a trade too soon, often bars 13 & 14 offer a chance to close a losing position with very little or no damage.Sometimes even with a small profit.First bar we trade out of congestion is bar nr. 17.Best bars to trade out of a range is a bar between 21 and 29.Often a doji bar is the first indication of the nearing end of the trading range. If a congestion breaks before the 17th bar, then wait for the first hook aber the break. It is the safest way to open a position. The price bar format...

The 4 hr chart is in congestion, currently on bar nr. 6 (worst bar to trade)The 1 hr chart is in congestion, currently on bar nr. 10 (last bar to trade out of consolidation)With a little luck, prices may trade to near 1.1300 in the next few hours.Important question of course is... WHERE IS YOUR STOP placed? Many trades trade without a stop... don't do it.The stop/loss is the most important aspect in trading!Without it, you are "hoping"And hope is one of the emotions one should not trade with!Hope, greed, fear, anger and pride are a trader's worst enemies.

In my previous postings I have explained how consolidations, congestions and trading ranges work.consolidation = 5 to 10 barscongestion = 11 to 20 barstrading range = 21 to 29 barsall of the above have a so called "measuring bar" (MB)a MB is a bar, where all following bars have either the open price or the close price or both within the high and low of the MB.when counting bars, the MB needs to be included.Monthly chart - currently 14 barsWeekly chart - currently 12 barsDaily chart - currently 11 barson either one of the above mentioned time frames, count the bars back in history, an...

There is one very simple rule in trading..."if in doubt - get out!"Another rule is... "never trade without a stop".Another rule is... "never move your stop farther from the entry price"Another rule is... "always calculate your lot size according to the risk you're willing to take"as opposed to just guessing or random selecting.Another rule is... "never let fear or greed take control of your trading actions"Most amateur traders are controlled by these emotions - hardly any of them will admit it.It's the macho/ego that they are controlled...
