I would like to see a contest where it is a little bit more balanced between the types of traders out there, it seems that this contest is basically who has the best scalping bot, why not run different contests for different trading strategies (non-automated, automated etc.) that way it would actually be fair.

Hello Max,
Conditions on the MT4 margin call along with examples and answers to other frequently asked questions can be found on our website here http://www.fxcm.com/products-services/metatrader-4/execution/

Incredible to see over 3200 traders have joined the contest...more than all the other contests held thus far.
I posted this information in the FXCM thread, but I also wanted to let everyone here know as well for purposes of the contest. The US Thanksgiving Holiday is on Thursday. There will be NO CHANGES to forex trading hours as a result of the holiday. Trading continues 24 hours a day throughout the week and will close at the regular time of approximately 4:55pm ET (21:55 GMT) on Friday. Just please be aware that lower liquidity during the holiday could impact spreads.
Additionally, rollover for today and tomorrow will be impacted as a result of the holiday. JPY pairs will experience 5x rollover today, and all other pairs will experience 4x rollover today. Tomorrow there will be no rollover for any of the pairs.

non-quota 3 hours, so give little desire to continue
Hi Maximiliano,
If you're getting an "off quotes" message, it's possible your Max Deviation setting is too low. Since FXCM uses 5-digit pricing (fractional pips), every 10 points for the Maximum Deviation is equivalent to one pip. If you adjust your Max Dev in the Order window, that should solve the problem. Try setting the max deviation to 20 or 30 as shown below.

Just wanted to add that you can change the default Max Deviation setting for all orders by going to Tools > Options and the Trade tab as shown below.
