Also, imo, a lot of people like to call reversals. So, it makes sense that if EURUSD has 85% of positions going long, that price is actually in a downward trend, as traders expect it to go back up, and the lower the price goes the more that jump on long.... waiting/hoping for for it to revert back up.
What leverage do you all use?

I don't really understand how that is exactly 'safe'. Is that the effective leverage you use rather than just the account setting? I feel, unless you're very experienced like togr and have plans in place to utilise the leverage if need be in case of DD, then 200-300x isn't safe. The more I trade and learn, the lower and lower leverage I am actually working with / need to work with.

Nice work mate, good sensible trading over a long period of time. That's the goal.

1:100 at the moment, though I'll probably drop that to 1:50 going forward.
What ways do you calculate your Stop Loss & Take Profit?

Hi Bsolo,I think there is a little more to it than that, which currency pair are you trading? How much are you willing to risk on the trade? I generally use the currency pair's ATR to assist in determining my TP or SL levels as some pairs are more volatile than others, therefore, may need a little more room to breath. That then affects the lot sizing etc. Hope that makes some sense...Russell

Hi NT,Really enjoy VP's podcasts as well and find his take on trading interesting. May be aware already but there is a Discord channel that breaks down all the different parts and indicators to test out., if not, recommend having a look, lots of information on there.I'm not completely sold on my exit indicator yet but one I'm looking at/tweaking is Chandelier.Good luckRusty

Hi Eleni,Good work, very happy to wait for the right trades, far better than forcing through trades for the sake of it.Cheers for the regular feedback as well.Rusty

Hi Ovisun,Just out of interest, on which platform do you provide signals as I thought you had stopped providing copy trade a while back? Your equity curve is fantastic and DD from 2018 onwards appears a lot better. Great trading.CheersRussell

Hi Hybride,Thanks for the update, while yesterday was disappointing, I am glad that you do actually use the SL (a lot of signal providers say they have a stop, don't actually enforce it and then blow the account). As mentioned above, if carry on like previous 4/5 months, then the loss will be recouped in 6 weeks or so. Especially if you've made some risk tweaks as just mentioned above then that's great. Do you expect the actual trading style to change much though? Thanks and will remain patient.Rusty

Generally so, I was a subscriber for a period of time but a system from the same provider almost blew through not adhering to his hard Stop Loss rules when martingaling so have stopped following since. Prior to that, was very consistent though.

Yeap, unfortunately I was one of those. With single digit DD history beforehand was comfortable with that, bit foolish.Didn't know that, he really should update the commentary if that was his plan. Had taken a loss before through the signal but it was small and recouped quickly, which made me feel more comfortable that he would close out if looking completely wrong. Was ok with a 20% hard stop.Live and learn I guess.

Hi Leo,Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I personally have no idea what will happen to BTC or cryptos in general but am enjoying the debate / discussion of both sides.Just in addition to the lists you mentioned, do you have any particular thoughts on Spectre?ThanksRussell

It's true, I was naive / foolish enough to follow his signals via SS.......account blown in a few days. I was only at 0.5 multiplier so that was some consolation.

Hi pmks,Have you ever subscribed to the signal? It's on my watch list on Signal Start but am wary due to some of the comments. It seems reasonable to have one negative month after a 18 months of trading, with a known broker and has a sizeable account. But the EUR/ZAR style trades seem to be an issue. The connection on Signal Start would hopefully avoid some of the slippage issues. Will carry on monitoring but the signal price isn't cheap so am hesitant to join atm.CheersRussell

Who are you copying? Never had an issue with trades not copying, but more so with finding the right providers.

Disappointed, seemed to be fairly reliable but unfortunately suffered a decent loss this month. Glad I had reduced the multiplier at least...
