Best currency pair for trading
in
New Traders
Jun 03, 2018 at 18:51
It's not that simple. Strong currency has to be supported by longer term fundamentals. Most of the time when you see the strongest currency which is driven by sentiment it is already too late to buy it. In that case you should look for s/r levels to fade it instead. There was broker survey carried out with a question; What is the most common trait of the traders? Most of the brokers responded - overreaction. This is a result of fear and greed. Therefore fading the spikes is the most popular short term strategy by the hedge funds.

What goal? From 10 bucks to 200? Nice try, but how many times you have blown thousands? What we see is just a tip of an iceberg.

Dear AniLorak, 20 servers is not for everyone. But let me explain to you and the rest of community on this thread. Initially I was trying the most powerful VPS with multiple processors with 8 cores (at that time) thinking that they will be able to handle 20-30platforms. Obviously cost of such VPS is much higher. Later I found the optimal solution. It is better to spread the load over several VPS rather than putting everything on one, even the most powerful VPS. I optimized for a year server hardware and quantity of platforms. I came to the conclusion that I get best performance if I run 9 MT ...

Long Term S&P 500 Trading With Leverage

Buy positions should pay dividends from earnings. That's a good strategy to play but not now when S&P are breaking new highs. On top of that there are fundamental surprises and uncertainties like Trump and Brexit. And please do a favour to yourself, don't grid with leverage.

If you continue each and every month this way in 3 years time you will be rubbing shoulders with George Soros and he will be asking you for advise. But this is unlikely. You are making right decisions by cutting losses at 20% DD but it becomes unsustainable in a long term. You see the market from time to time likes to throw at you several consecutive losses at a time and your account then becomes decimated. What's the solution? First of all you have to rename your strategy: instead of MAX profit you should name it STABLE profit. The first thing what investors ask is what's the risk? Th...

Your latest recovery from EURJPY DD is spectacular but at the same time worrying. You were in 5%DD and suddenly in profit. The only explanation is that you had to use much bigger lots maybe 4 times bigger than original size to recover from such DD on retracement.

Your performance deteriorated probably because you are trying to adjust your trading to followers/investors IMHO.Since you told last time that you are going to keep max DD at 10% you have less room to withstand volatility. I think you should go back to the trading that you are used to and let your followers themselves to decide what risk they should use.
