This is what an MT5 backtest looks like for instance when saved as a ".html" file. Can this site start supporting Mt5 strategies? More brokers are switching to MT5 which is more powerful than MT4.

Does this website support MT5? I can't post any strategies because the file format is html instead of htm. Does everyone on here use only MT4?

My Suggestions:1) Learn to write code for MT4 and MT5. Lots of work, but well worth it. Find examples online.2) Write a simple EA and backtest it using MT4 or MT5. 3) Keep researching, improve your EA, change strategies, find how to prevent large drawdowns.4) Use demo accounts, don't put real money in right away. Trade with account balances that match what you will put in.5) When you fail, try again, look at what others do, and improve upon that. Takes years to master, but you are young, no worries and no rush. Better to not lose your money until you find what works. Patience is key, ...

NOTE that this is only a TEST ACCOUNT for the Currency Strength Basket Trader 28 Pair EA to test different settings than default. I had different settings before June 15, 2018 and the current settings since June 15 are using a TP of 35, SL of 500, and each trades is using approximately 3.5% of the Account Balance. Trades will close only when the TP is hit, the SL is hit, or if the strength of the pair changes drastically as calculated by the EA. The 30 Minute EURAUD Chart is being used to run the EA on.Thank you

I personally trade stocks/companies that are in the blockchain technology arena but not in the currency side of things. Blockchain tech is around to stay I believe, the currencies are yet to be determined so if you are looking for less risk, go with the technology side that is useful to companies.

There are different TP/SL and other settings. In both cases, the pairs trade as a set to help protect you against large market moves that trading one pair doesn't provide, but in the fully hedged program, you are just better protected, but to counter that with the other program, you just need to trade smaller lots in order to limit the risk. The Non Hedged program is more like a Basket Trading Program but with only 3 pairs.

It was verified at one time, not sure why it got unverified. Just took care of it again.I actually have two different EAs, a Fully Hedged and a Non Hedged 3 Pair EA. This one is the Fully Hedged one https://www.myfxbook.com/members/bestdarngood/fxcm-5000-d1/1822431While the one you mention is not Fully Hedged and is more profitable because it can open/close more trades.Both of them open trades when there are inefficiencies in the market (When the pairs are not in sync). For the Non Hedged one, it then can close a trade in profit fairly quickly because there is an overall direction being trade...

I would also suggest a less volatile pair such as AUDUSD. Aim for small gains and small losses.

I have accounts with Oanda, Forex.com, and FXCM. FXCM is the best out of the 3 so it is a shame that this has happened for me since we US Citizens are losing choices in what we can use each year...If only someone else could take the place of FXCM and offer great pricing and execution in the USA.

My Backtests covered all of 2015 where we saw the January events caused by the Swiss. Since I was using real Bid and Ask data, my tests were even more valid than using Strategy Tester with a set Spread.After years of trading, limiting losses is my number one concern, making small consistent profits is better than making big profits and big losses.
